    Where's Moonie ?

I actually saw the gnome when the MOF group came out to Catalina. Who had him? Hmm...I'll remember soon. Doug :)

    Can't edit dive info

Speaking of motivation: I just came back off vacation where I logged my 50th dive, thus putting me in a different category. All I could think of on the plane back home (besides those two screaming little brats that couldn't shut up and how I'd like to follow them home and stand in their...

    Exposure protection for Maui

Up-country, particularly places like Makawao. If you get away from the beaches, you'll find cheaper places. Makawao is about 10-15 minutes away from Pa'ia beach, about 20-30 mins away from Kahalui Airport, and about 30-45 minutes from the south shore (Kihei), depending on time of day, traffic...

    Maui Ocean Center aquarium dive?

I just came back from Maui...this aquarium dive is expensive! It is now $245 which is more than a two-tank dive at Molokini Crater. I decided not to do it, and I don't regret it at all. It looks nice, but there's so much more water-time in Maui, e.g., I did quite a bit of snorkeling (some...

    Maui dive suggestions

I just got back from Maui this morning. I went to Molokini with Ed Robinson Dive Company, and he runs a great operation! I tried Mike Severns, but they stay pretty booked up...you can try them, and you can call them every evening to see if they have cancellations. Ed Robinson...no problem...

    Exposure protection for Maui

I'm glad I spotted this thread, as I am headed for Maui tomorrow (Thursday). Aaen, or anybody else in the area, maybe I'll meet up with you. If you want, PM me, and we'll plan a dive together. I'll be in Maui (visiting my niece, who does not dive) until the 12th. Cheers, Doug :beerchug:

    Question and Answer (a game)

We used to fill up 30.06 shells with match heads, tamping them down, leaving one sticking halfway out, then crimping the ends tightly. When you light the match head sticking out, it's like a rocket. At night, you could hear the shells falling about 2 blocks away. That was my favorite, because...
