    scubainst

Well - I have just found out that scuba diving in Cabo San Lucas can be amazing. :blinking: I was always told to avoid the area, but I can no longer do this. I was amazed! Where can I find information about diving from a Cruise Ship or in this area?

Reef Ministries - Showcasing the Underwater World as the Handiwork of God

:D Well good day to you all. I am a fan on Facebook, and will look forward to what you are going to say here. My organization will be bringing many aspects of diving to many folks. If someone asks, as they have done in the past, I will send them your way! Thanks again and I look forward to...

Scuba enthusiast but a complete newbie

Hey there Rishi. You can send me a PM. The sticky thread is good; the Discover Scuba is also a good thing. I have instructed many students and it is really a personal thing - how comfortable are you in the water when things go wrong? The shop can tell you if you are going to need some swim...

Army Vet needs help with diving

Good Morning. So, the first thing you will need to do is get signed off from your local ENT (Ear, Nose & Throat) specialist. Vertigo - may be a concern due to the ear issue. One thing I would have you think about - Snorkel or Free diving. Once you have spoken with a physician & perhaps a...

Instead of DEMA in November - Let's Dive San Diego

So I was really thinking that I do not want to attend DEMA this year.http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/images/smilies/More%20Smiles/shakehead.gif http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/images/smilies/Standard%20Smiles/04.gif Perhaps 2 years from now - but not this...

    Ear problems

Please let me know. I have one student who was having issues - and so far the fitted "pro-plug" has worked well for her. I am very interested to know more. I would also like to know what your ENT has to say. Thanks for keeping me posted. you could also speak with someone at DAN and see what...

    Ear problems

I would suggest one of 2 items. Doc's pro plugs or the new ear guards. either of these can help. I would also say to use some "swimmers ear" after each dive. There are many home remedies - as simple as do not allow wind from a car to blow on your ears for 24 hours to meds.

    Sevylor Diveyak XK2020

How does the coral sea compare to the original DIVEYAK? I like the idea of the inflatable and would really like to see if I can make this work.

    Sevylor Diveyak XK2020

I am wondering what the outcome was with this. I too am very confused about the inflatable vs. plastic. the last time I was diving off of a kayak was 15 years ago. I am looking and interested in Lake Tahoe and lakes up north mostly. I understand completely about using the short dives when...

    New to ScubaBoard

If you are very consistent with your maintenance both are good. I prefer the Scubapro. My buddy who owns a shop and deals Mares, says his is comparable. My thing is about getting gear that is going to last beyond the warranty. I have had gear from various vendors over the years - but I still...

    Northern CA Lakes

I too have the issue of teaching in the winter - 1 hour west of Lake Tahoe. If you are going to use Folsom, you have to make sure there is water. I use Negro Bar as well. I was interested in the warmer water as well... Let me know what you find. For now, it will be business as usual.

    Sacramento Lake Diving

Just so you gents know... there is going to be a drift dive down the American River the weekend of 29th March. Call the shop - Dive N Trips - they are putting it on. We will head out from Sailor Bar and exit at the foot bridge near sunrise. Hope to see some of you there. This is going to be...

Do I need visual in order to get fill

I was never so happy to get my training from PSI. It opened up a world for me to take care of myself and my gear. The VIZ is quick and painless. I hope all of your tanks are good to go.

    Nitrox Analyzer Recommendation by SSI

So, I don't really see what folks are using. I am going to go with OMS. I have found that to be the best use for my 200+ dives on EANx. Most reliable, at the shop, boat or remotely. What say all ya all who have been diving on EANx. The home made ones require more time than I am willing to...

    Sacramento Lake Diving

weeeelllll, I wouldn't quite say that... make sure you know your conversions before you dive. What I don't want to have happen is to have you guys go and come back fizzing - your call. No drinking before, no drinking after and watch hot tubs, etc. Watch your depth for altitude, and make...
