i have just been giving my kit a once over and i've found a few deep scrapes on the nuts that connect my hoses to my first stage. the scrapes go through the chrome to the base metal, would a layer or two of clear nail varnish protect the base metal, or is there some way to re-chrome the nuts...

i have just got back from diving tenerife, and this bc performed perfectly... i like it more than when i had it down the pool... it held me where i needed holding, and didn't seem too huggy or bulky... i did have some trouble with my trimming (but that was me:lotsalove:) i'm guessing like...

i don't think i'll be doing lilac or lavander any time soon, i'm going for that unkept devil-may-care diver type image...:14:

1/3 hair conditioner, 2/3 water, me, i don't really mind the smell, but if it's gonna affect the fish i'd be a fool not to at least try to get rid of it...

fisherdvm, you got it mate, i read somewhere on here that the smell of the conditioner spooks the fish, so i'm trying to descent the conditioner... i am thinking of going with that latex lube, but i thought i'd try the cheap way first...

right, i'll start again, i'm gonna mix some suit snot, but the conditioner smells of perfume... does anyone know of a way to get rid of the smell... that's about as english as i can make it...

just wondering if somebody could tell me what this bit of kit does... i read post where people talk about checking it during your pre-dive check, but i can't work out in my head what it does???...:confused: i'll make a guess that it stops your bcd from popping if your ascent is too fast, but...
