    next piece of kit

Ive been looking round the shops, and ive found a 5mm semi dry 3 one long full body suit a shorty and a hood that works with both, the shorty can be used on its own or over the main suit, anyone know if this is warm enough for england and cool enough for warmer waters?

    next piece of kit

Thx mike, i have infact tried diving in england, and i really enjoyed it, but id rather get a wet suit, that i can use more widely as far as i know, it can get pretty hot in places with dry suits on. There aren't many turn up and dive schools in the uk, they tend to be mainly, you have to be...

    Diving after flying

The reason, its not a good idea to fly AFTER a dive, is that any nitrogen bubbles in youre blood stream can expand due to the smaller pressure at altitude causing blockages to arteries and many over problems As far as anyone can tell there are no physiological reasons not to fly as soon as...

    Deep course

it was my understanding that 225 thats 68.18 metres, is actually to deep for air as the partial pressure of oxygen is greater than 1.4 and therefore there is a high risk of oxygen toxicity. Enough on the technical side, 100ft 30m sounds about right for a checkout dive on a deep diver...

Solve the Diving First Aid Scenario!

If the casualty is in a life threatening position (could deteriorate while uncompanied) as this patiend clearly could, i would say you have to risk the move, even with the possibility of spinal injuries, you do what you can to imobilise the casualty, but its gotta take hind seat to making sure...

    Thank heavens for PADI

Ive got no complaints about padi as an organisation, but im a padi diver, and my opinion is biased. They get my cards to me on time, theyve got realistic requirements to do courses, and maybe i find it easier to pay for my courses on holiday. For me padi is the best Diving organisation. Ive only...
