Thank you everyone... I've heard a lot of great things about the Aggressor and Galapagos Sky, but have decided to go with Wolf/Buddy. A diver friend just went out with them and she said it is the best boat she has ever been on!

hello... also planning a quick trip to GBF end of September and would like to do a liveaboard in the coral sea. Aquapro...can you tell me which boats go to that region? Can you recommend a 4 or 5 star boat? Most likely will arrive Cairns early morning on Sept 18 and stay through the 24th.

I would add the Maldives (mantas, whale sharks, amongst other incredible sightings) and Layang Layang (just swam with a school of 30 hammerheads two weeks ago)

Thank you everyone for your input. I've booked a week long vacation in Layang Layang. Crossing my fingers that I'll encounter some hammerheads!

I am planning a trip to Borneo in May 2011 and am trying to decide between Layang Layang and Sipidan, or is it worth trying to do both in a week? All comments welcome! :cool2::cool2:

I just wrapped up a long weekend diving in Guam. I was diving solo so I asked for a guide through MDA. Both guides were good, but Tommy Rhodes was great! (too bad he's moving off the island back to the good ole USA in a couple of weeks) MDA is a really friend org... very organized.

Eric Javier of Speedy Tertle (not a typo) is probably one of the best dive guides I've ever had. Detailed briefings, knows the underwater world like the back of his hand, and manages the dive to your level. I highly recommend him.
