Does the EON Steel actually really calculate the desat time? The only computers i know that really calculate desat and no-fly-time (=deco cleared at cabin pressure, about 0.7bar) instead of just showing some numbers are the H&W OSTC models.

And on topic: Just fly. After the dives you mentioned you'd likely be fine after <5 hours..

I sense the sarcasm, but cannot figure out what is your actual advice, if any.

My advice? Don’t search such purported life and death counsel on a message board. You’ve already packed your bags and you’ve already decided to skeedaddle on home, anyway,

Enjoy the flight.

According to suunto, the eons only calculate desat time and this is what is provided on the no-fly time display. It is then up to you to decide if you'd rather follow the calculated de-sat time or go off a generic no-fly time rule of thumb from other sources.

The comments saying to throw the computer away over this are asinine. All that's needed here is to read the manual to see what's going on and then make a judgement call as to if you'd rather go with the no risk option of waiting until complete desat or the slightly, but probably only marginally, higher risk option of following a generic rule of thumb.

Just fly - I never pay attention to the No Fly icon on my D6i.
I resisted the strong urge to buy a Teric at 10% off during Xmas lol

From the manual. You make the call...

3.27. Surface and no-fly time

After a dive, Suunto EON Core displays surface time since the previous dive and a countdown time for recommended no-fly time. During the no-fly time, flying or traveling to higher altitude should be avoided.

No-fly time is always at least 12 hours and equals desaturation time when it is more than 12 hours. For desaturation times shorter than 70 minutes, no no-fly time is displayed.

If decompression is omitted during a dive so that Suunto EON Core enters permanent error mode (see 3.2. Algorithm lock), the no-fly time is always 48 hours. Similarly, if dive is done in gauge mode (bottom timer), the no-fly time is 48 hours.

WARNING: YOU ARE ADVISED TO AVOID FLYING ANY TIME THE COMPUTER COUNTS DOWN THE NO-FLY TIME. ALWAYS ACTIVATE THE COMPUTER TO CHECK THE REMAINING NO-FLY TIME PRIOR TO FLYING! Flying or traveling to a higher altitude within the no-fly time can greatly increase the risk of DCS. Review the recommendations given by Divers Alert Network (DAN). There can never be a flying-after-diving rule that is guaranteed to completely prevent decompression sickness!

When I was in French Polynesia, I was told the "puddle jumper" Air Tahiti flights between islands/atolls only required 12 hr no-fly times due to the low elevation of the flights.

At least my OStC 2C gives No-Fly at 60(?)% Desat, so OP would be clear with that computer..

My buddy on the only live aboard I've been to had more than 24 H NoFly time when flying home, his other computer had cleared.
