I learned a simple, but valuable lesson this weekend. If you shoot your bag from 70' ffw, it's best to not use your jump spool with 50' of line. :shakehead:

Well, that math certainly adds up :rofl3:. I am with Tony.....did you let go or elevator up?

I let it go and we used my divebuddys line for the ascent. Her shot was picture perfect but of course she had the advantage of ample lineage. The embarrassing thing was/is that I had another spool with 100' of line and a reel w/200' clipped to me that I could have, should have used.
 
Well, glad to hear you did the right thing. And yes, lesson learned. Was this an SMB or lift bag?
