Closed: Any Way To Turn Off Idiotic Chat Feature?

I can't find anyway to turn off the stupid chat feature that shows the number of posts with a red counter. Ive searched in the forums and settings. Can it be turned off?

Hi loady if your are referring to the Chat at the top of the page then the red square with a number embedded in it refers to the number of people who are currently participating in the Chat section and this cannot be turned off.
