HI! I'm planning to get a pair of fins. I'm on a tight budget as I am still studying (masters). My local store recommended me a pair of Tusa Imperex. Can I get any comment or feedback regarding these fins?

I got a pair for $52 from Leisure Pro, and just had a chance to use them last week. I was very pleased with them. Not too stiff, good strap setup, a great value overall. I got them because I was not ready to get expensive split fins, but wanted a good quality fin that would last a while.

I bought the IMPREX fins for budget reasons ... have about 15 dives on them including salt and fresh water ... seem to hold up well are very easy to don and doff with a comfortable fit ... for the price I think they are a good buy

I have a pair of Imprex fins and have had a problem with the straps getting loose as the dive went on. My next trip back to the dive shop I'm going to see if the straps slip on the ones at the shop. Mine are almost new, but I will junk them before I lose one on a dive because of a Mickey Mouse buckle and strap system. We were in Bonaire last week I did about 15 dives and they came loose on every dive. Oh well, worse comes to worse, they were only $50.

chongming,

depends on how strong your legs are. i tried my friend's pair (she's a girl) and found them to be too flexible. in strong currents, they are not too effective as the kicks don't get translated into motion. so, if you have stronger legs, i'd suggest you get either scubapro jetfins, or a stiffer pair.

Thank you so much for your comments and sharing your experience with fins.

If you guys are ever in Malaysia to dive, do give me a buzz.
