Anyone else hooked on Battlestar Galactica?

The purpose of Roslyn's flashback was to show her destiny. She hated politics and wanted nothing to do with the campaign. Partly, I think, because her self confidence was a bit lacking. But then she had that one night stand with her former student and that gave her a different outlook on life. The death of her family showed why she was so hardened that first season and never mentioned losing a family in the attack.
She had to join Adar's campaign and rise to a cabinet position in order to fulfill her destiny and lead mankind to their new beginning.

That said--I hate how Adama essential commits suicide in the end and poor Apollo is left without his father and the woman he loves. I hated the last 30 mins of the finale.

I don't think Adama committed suicide. He was finished with carrying the burden of the human race, and decided to spend the rest of his days by Laura's side. It was heavily implied that he was going to build their cabin near her grave.

I think that I thought that he dies because of the way that Apollo says that he will never see him again. Why would he never see him again if all he has to do is walk to the location where Adama landed.

I don't know---I just don't like the loneliness that I felt for Tyrol and Apollo--even Kara. I think the ending was cop out.

I watched the mini-series pilot. Hated it. Never watched again. Too much socialist, liberal drivel for my taste. Worst TV show ever. The best thing about the show is that they canceled it.
