Hi, I am going to be vacationing on St George Island and was wondering if there are any good shore dives in the area, within 30 or so miles.

Any information is greatly appreciated.

Frank

The closest that I know of would be the St. Andrews Jetties in PCB, not within your 30 mile prefference though.

Hi,
I lived just east of carrabelle fl for years prior to Hurricane Dennis. If you lack a boat I would advise the channel by the fsu Marine lab. It is located about 6-7 miles east of carrabelle. It should be around your 30 mile range. There are jetties that run off shore quite a ways. This is an estuary area that I have free dived alot. Plenty of rays, small eels and other marine life. Also awesome place to spear fish. You can park on side of road and enter water by bridge.
Happy Diving,
Mike
