I was wondering if anybody has every dove the Bendickson Tank Reef. Apparently it is about 18 miles or so west of Hernando Beach in Hernando County. There are suppose to be several tanks that have been sunk out there with depths around 30' or so. If you have been there how was it and what was it like? I have been wanting to go but wanted some info before I do.

Thanks,
Chris

Never heard of them. I have dove the ones off Pasco county though

I have been there fishing and it is a great spot for fishing. I've caught a lot of grouper and snapper there, but am interested in diving it. It is neat because they have mouring lines attached to a bouy which is already anchored to the bottom so there is no need to drop anchor.

I wouldn't mind diving that reef. I was not aware that it was even there. The Pinellas and Pasco tanks are M60/M60A1 MBT's from the early 60's.

I'd be into diving them as well. I haven't bee able to make it out to any of the tanks. So someone set up a trip so I can invite myself along. haha

You'd enjoy it. The engines are removed and all of the hatches are open. Tons of mango's for spearing.
