Max I looked at the Tom Cat when I upgraded the Rib but Bought the 38 Med instead never regretted it but had I not found the Med I would have bought the C-Dory TomCatI've owned a 12 1/2' Achilles inflatable, 22' Columbia sailboat and a 22' Crestliner power boat, but nothing beats the 25' C-Dory Tomcat for comfortable diving. It's a power catamaran which is an extremely stable dive platform. Twin Honda 150s, GPS, RADAR, two VHF radios, racks for eight tanks, with all the safety items we need including O2. I replaced the three rung dive ladder with a longer four rung swing ladder. It has a pilot house to get us out of the weather, full marine head, sink, stove/heater, refrigerator, table, three wide seats and queen size V-berth. My favorite feature is the hot fresh water shower on the deck to warm up and wash gear after diving.
I try not to think about the cost because if we didn't have the boat we'd probably have smart phones, tablets and eat at restaurants where the food doesn't arrive at the table wrapped in paper.
