There is some great advice here, but at the end of the day I'd say it is a matter of trial and error until you find something that works for you.

I don't get sea sick when I am deep sea fishing, but the moment I come up from my first dive, or if I am in a wetsuit I feel the effects of motion sickness. On my last trip I took gravol with my meals and was great for all the boat rides. What a difference!

Be persistent and you will find a solution that works best for you.
 
This is odd. I've been on about 10 charter trips and can't recall anyone (noticeably at least) seasick. Anyone else have a similar experience?

That's odd. I have been on the charters out of both Sambro and Lunenburg and had people tossing their cookies. You just need to dive with more people then!
