Ok, so I am putting together all my gear before a dive trip. I look at my beautiful Halcyon Eclipse "wing" and think: That ain't really a wing. Its more a....doughnut (or donut if you are on the other side of the pond). And although no Krispy Kreme with a soft center (or centre), it surely is no wing.
So should I call my set-up back pack with donut? Seems more fitting.

I think wing is too neutral a name. Things used to be called "horse collar" or "toilet seat" (depending on whether you were a commercial or sewage diver?).

Ignore this post if you wish.

A.
