RIP Captain Don... you were one of a kind and an environmental visionary before being such was cool.

Anyone interested can learn a little more about Captain Don Stewart, in his own words, here.

Very sad. RIP Captain Don. Thank you for everything. A visionary and pioneer. As wwguy writes, one of a kind.

Thanks for the posting. My daughter saw the information about his passing on facebook last night just around dinner time. Our first family dive trip was in Bonaire in 2009 and we all met Capt Don at the bar at Habitat on the weekly rum punch party. Found memories.

What a life - Doctor, Pirate, Marine Park innovator, Knight and more - you can't make up stuff like this. Thank you for creating a lasting legacy for future generations.

Wow - honored to have seen him one evening at Habitat. RIP
