With the harness correctly adjusted, there isn't a need for a sternum strap. The shoulder straps will stay in the right spot.

Hi, I would like to know why the Halcyon system don't have a clip to attached the shoulder strap in the upper chest?

Thanks!

Basically, the answer is that a simple harness doesn't have any tendency to slip off sideways, so there is no need for a chest strap. The only exception is if you are very small (as I am) and then you can weave the harness differently, so that it crosses behind your neck. This keeps it more inboard, and gets rid of any tendency to fall off the shoulders.

Since the chest strap is not needed, it isn't there. You will find this with most Halcyon (or technical) gear. The less you can have and still have things work okay, the better off you are.

Yep, as TS&M said... the obvious answer is because it doesn't need one.

Halcyon tends to design kit to do a job, rather than kit that looks cool, or looks effective.

A fair bit of it has to do with the length of shoulder straps and their relation between the adjustment of crotch strap and waist belt. When adjusted correctly a harness does not need a chest strap. Adding a chest strap and adjusting it tightly to compensate for an incorrectly adjusted harness can actually cause discomfort and potentially increase chance of restriction when attempting full chest expansion (deep breath). An incorrectly adjusted harness WILL at times feel like it is slipping off your shoulders.
