Lisa, ya there may have been a mis-application of a patch. It sometimes happens. The good thing is your on top of it.

Trend is very good, its the new face of PCCillian of days ago. There are two others, Panda (www.pandasoftware) and Grisoft that I recommend to clients as well, so your right on the mark for having top notch stuff that really DOES the job it says it is going to do!

Just don't try to ever un-install it.

And there's several known ways around the free version, don't know about the "Pro" version since I never upgraded. Google free zonealarm problems for more info.

The only reliable firewall is going to be hardware based. So if you really want to protect your computer(s) put them behind a router.
