I just got back from Bonaire and thought people might be interested in a couple of the pictures taken with my G11, plus a single S&S YS-01. One of them was taken by my photography instructor (Tim @ Fish Eye Photo), and one of them was taken by me. Both were taken by the same setup, so I figured people in the Canon corner might be interested, particularly since it shows what a G11 can do in the hands of someone experienced (in the case of the crab picture), and also someone with little experience (in the case of the very tame, possibly now blind, shrimp).

What is worthy of note is that Tim only borrowed my camera for a single shot of the crab. Irritating.

Great shot. Those shrimp are a PITA to shoot

It is incredible what a point and shoot camera today can do :) Those Canons work great! I have an older one, S500, and it doesn't work so well LOL

Great shots!! What settings did you use. I'm still on auto with my G11.

You are probably going to have to bite the bullet and turn that dial. I was shooting in manual - f/8, 1/500, ISO 80, white balance on cloudy. The strobe was on manual (which to be honest took quite a bit of trial and error and looking at the histograms).

Both are nice! Congrats!
