Greetings,

I am currently trying to decide between going to Dahab (again), or trying somewhere new and hitting Marsa Alam in May. My main option in Marsa is Kahramana, diving with Pioneer divers. I have plenty of dives, so I'm not too worried about me, but my girlfriend is going there to take her open water course and I dont have much information on Pioneer, or how tough it is to learn to dive there.

Does anyone have any info that they can share?

Dave

I went to Marsa Alam last September. There is a wide range of sites. Many shallow and great for learning.

The coral is great and there are plenty of small reef fish. As far as the larger fish go I was disappointed.

See here for details:

I would also say you are unlikely to find a better dive centre than Emperor. They pick you up from the Kahmara hotel so no issue there.
