I am looking at a pair of scuba tanks that are for sale and they have a DIN valve on them but the valve is not straight up from the tank but rather ofset to the side in a straight line with the knob. Does anyone know what type of valve this is and why they are like that?

What size tanks? If its a smaller tank, is it a rebreather style valve?

Your looking at a old US Divers or Sherwood DIN Valve. I say eaither because they are the same valve with a different decal ont hem. Google either sherwood or USD valve manual, and you will find all the schmatics.
