This is really sad news, but the article by nine news is shameful, riddled with spelling errors and inaccuracies. Mornington peninsula news suggests this was a snorkellor - Man drowns at Mt Eliza

Diver dies after being found unconscious - 9News
The body of a diver has been found in water off Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula after a horror day on the water.

Authorities were called to Mount Eliza just before 3.30pm after a driver came into trouble near a rocky shore line off Ranelagh Beach.

Nearby paddlers heard the man screaming and rushed over to save him before dragging him to shore.

Paramedics worked on the man, aged in his 30s, but he could not be saved.

The message that was here pointed out the existence of two threads about the same matter. As the two threads are now merged, the message is now redundant and has been removed.
