The reports says - "Police are investigating the death of a man in his 60s who was scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef on Thursday afternoon. He was pulled from the water unconscious but breathing and went into cardiac arrest after diving at Briggs Reef off the coast of Cairns. An emergency services helicopter was called to the boat but the man died at the scene."

Diver dies on Great Barrier Reef - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
Police say a man who died while scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef in far north Queensland was a Canadian national.
District Duty Officer Dion Readman says the 68-year-old tourist was scuba diving with an instructor on Briggs Reef around 1pm (AEDT) on Thursday when he signalled to go back to the boat.
He says the man collapsed a short time later.
Paramedics were flown to the scene but he was pronounced dead on the boat.
Police have interviewed staff and passengers on the dive boat.
Police are preparing a report for the coroner and have notified Workplace Health and Safety.
