Wow. Thats a gutsier dive than I was ever prepared to do in Cape waters. I wonder if there was abalone poaching involved?

I would say no. The abalone question is an interesting one.....
Perlemoen not worth it. Used to do it as a ignorant lighty. Up and down the coast. Still have my original knife (and finger scars).
