Diving in Tulamben Bali

another +1 for Tulamben Wreck Divers..always stay and dive with them if I'm in Tulamben. I was able to dive with Geko (who posted in this thread) a couple of months ago..great operator who I highly recommend if you are also staying/diving Padangbai

That can work, beware the Liberty wreck can become quite crowded. Diving with 100 of your closest friends is not my favorite thing and IIRC its a couple hours from Ubud to the Liberty wreck.

Early morning, or early evening are generally the least crowded.


If you haven't picked where you're staying in Ubud, I would recommend Tegal Sari. Excellent folks and unlike most of the hotels in Bali, is locally owned.

Howdy, as JohnN mentions, it get's crowded when diving with an OP from out of the area. We are still in Bali ATM, we did 7 days in Candidasa and drove up for 3 days in Tulamben. We stayed at Liberty Dive Resort. Great OP, and I think they are about the closest resort to the wreck.... 3 min walk down to the beach, 2 nice pools and an excellent staff. Very nice price and value. Nice rooms with good AC Have a great time!!
