Hmm, I have these water bed tubes from an old water bed I just tore down. They are thick and tough. They have the added benefit of a spout the size of a juice carton on them.

How did you test them?

I tested the bladder by lying on top of it while fully inflated. It didn't burst. Then, I took into consideration the fact tht most of the pressure would be taken up by the shroud, and not the bladder itself, but it was nice to know that in the event of a shroud failure, the OPV would take care of the rest.

Oh, if you really were interested in using a water noode to make a horeshoe type bladder, then I suggest you try using a DSMB as a bladder. They're sturdy enough I guess. I would've used one - if I wanted to use horseshoe wing. But I wanted a donut, so I want with the bladder I shose :D

hey guys, i have a post right before this one about cutting off weight pockets. the n i saw this post, a bp/w with a plastic plate... so got me thinking...

so read the post entitled "cutting off weight pockets?" and tell me if i might get to a similar place as Doc if i just keep stripping parts off of my knighthawk. starting with pockets, then replacing cumberbun with webbing, shoulder straps might stay.

i love the weights --semi perminent in the webbing too.. that might not work for me, because i want more of the weight on me. its easier for doning and carrying etc..
