Do bolt snaps damage the hose?

My current set up I have the rope between the hose and the bolt snap. It seems as though the bolt snap is touching the hose a bit but they are both tight enough to not move along the hose, but the bolt snap can move a bit, which is what I want.
I think I will leave it this way and follow up on it in a few months.

Regarding the super-glue tip, that is indeed a cool tip. I will put some super-glue.
