Hi!
I've recently completed the Peak Performance Buoyancy (PPB) and the Deep Diving specialties (classroom and pool classes only) and I wanted to do both certifications on my next dive trip (The closest dive spot is 4 hours away), I told so to my instructor and he told me that it wasn't possible because each specialty must be certified in it's own dive, so it's required 4 dives for the deep certification and 2 other dives for the PPB certification).
My question is: Whay cant we do the PPB certification while doing the Deep certification? It's not like they are mutually exclusive, or I would be over tasked by doing so.
Is this really a PADI restriction or is my instructor trying to squeeze more money from me?
I'd thank any input on this subject, specially from PADI instructors.
