Yes there are shelters with setup stations and SHOWERS!

It may be hard to get a shelter this weekend...I'll check on the availability when
I get down there. The weather looks good though!

Thanks for your efforts.... I think it would be great if we can have our own place.

And, please let me know if there are something that you don't bring last minutes. I am goind to take off early Saturday morning. In addition, please find out a good resturant or bar where we can hang around.. We need to eat there, too....

SXXX! I can't get the event tickets anymore through DUI website...

What a GREAT weekend! Kenny and I completed our dry suit certs after
8 hours of class and diving Friday! Darn I was tired, after getting up at
5:30am and driving for 4 hours just to get down there!

I had some issues with weighting and choice of bc on our first cert dive,
so I changed out to my other bc and dropped some weight for my second
cert dive. Our instructor then advised I would have to re-do my skills portion
of the first dive!?!? :11: Oh well, I went through my skills again the second dive,
I did feel much better.

This second dive ended up being a night dive, I guess you could call this a
bonus dive since we were in class most of the day!
Beats going through remedial training!

We ran right into a LARGE spoonbill coming back to the platform, what a topper
to a great dive! I did start an uncontrolled ascent but with the help of Kenny I
got it under control.

The next day brought the DUI Dog Days event. I went for the 450 suit with
the 300 polartec undies, I had a couple of fantastic dives! I felt really good
and under control, sac rate even turned out to be low for diving new and
unfamiliar equipment! I learned all about squeeze today, compounded with two
crotch straps!

We buddied up with Bill Allbritten, what a pleasure to meet up with a dive buddy
from 3 years ago! Looking Good Bill!!!

Kenny and I had a GREAT time visiting with Hoosier and Min afterwards!

Unfortunately after fitting my camera housing with a red filter, I brought the
housing but forgot the da^^@ camera!!! Sorry no photo's. :shakehead

Sorry that I didn't make it guys. Even if I wanted to, the sinuses were not going to allow it.

Chris were you doing an ice dive? 300g's sounds like a bunch. I know it depends upon the diver but I only wore 200g's when WT and I did our New Years eve dive.
So you learned about squeeze?...I won't ask for details.

First you forgot poor ole Pappy and then your camera...tisk tisk tisk.
