I suggest filtering out "Classified" adds from the search when "What's New" and "New post" buttons are used. Almost half the post I see listed are from the "Classified" section.

I made a suggestion to xenForo that would allow members to opt-out of individual forums for the purpose of New Posts views. It has only received a net +8 votes so far but you never know, they may add it to a future release.

Our board has just under 500 forums. They range from forums for wannabe divers to the most advanced. Opt-in is currently the only tool in our toolbox to restrict access to Classifieds that I know of.
