Been looking to buy a frameless mask. Liked the Scubapro. My lds wants $104.00 for the mask. I seen it on leisurepro for like $49 but they are out of stock. My question is I found a H2odyssey onyx frameless mask for $39.00. It looks just like the scubapro. Does anyone have this mask and is it a good alternative to the scubapro frameless? Thanks in advance. Jason

Hi,

First off why are you looking for a frameless mask? The scubapro is a decent mask but for that price you can consider a lot of other options. I for one love the Poseidon 3D mask, low volume, really soft skirt pretty good looks and decent view and very easy to pinch my nose.

Btw, have you actually tried on the frameless mask yet? If not try some other mask and then make you decision. However, if you really want that mask look for this at ebay:

Oceanic Shadow/Mini Shadow is another nice frameless design.

I vote for the Scubapro Framless! Great mask. Comfortable, excellent field of vision, and it doesn't leak...imagine that.

The Scubapro frameless ended my search for a comfortable mask. Well worth the $50 it should cost you. I found an Appolo frameless (with their prestige stowable snorkel) a couple monthes ago and it is hard to tell the difference underwater. But it might leave your wallet a little heavier.

I like the Mares X-Vision myself.

The first frameless I bought was an Apollo (because LP was out of the SP frameless). Lost the Apollo, LP got some SP's in stock, so I got one. I would highly recommend the SP frameless for comfort/volume/no-glare/sealing but also have to say the Apollo was very close in performance. Apollos are a little cheaper, too. Either one and you should be happy. Best option is always to try the mask on before buying it. Should have no problem selling either on eBay if they don't work out.

Bough H2Odyssey frameless mask @ LDS a couple of days ago for $40.00, with a hard storage case tossed in for good measure. The mask was a great fit, and I liked the low volume and light weight. I've no complaints about the quality either. Looks cool too. No chance to try it out yet - except in the bathtub :) That's OK. Laugh all you want. Laughter is good. Look forward to trying it out on a dive before too long.
