Hi Everyone,

My name is Gary and I am 17 year old living in Southern California. Ever since I was young, I have loved the ocean and have wanted to be a marine biologist. I have snorkeled in several oceans and am currently doing an independent study on tropical reefs and zooanthellae algae in coral. Today was the first day I have ever scuba dived and I absolutely fell in love with it. I am joining this forum in hopes of learning useful information on diving and the Ocean in general. From what I have seen so far, everyone seems friendly and helpful so I'm excited!

Welcome aboard!

Although this IS a pretty friendly place, advice / commentary can sometimes be blunt. Don't take it personally, and you can learn a lot - I know I have!

Cheers!

Howdy and welcome to Scubaboard. :admingreet:

Good luck on your training, certifications, and development dives.
