My brother took a girl snow skiing once, and she broke her leg - but she had packed a spare. It's fortunate that the doctors could save as much of the leg as they did. After it heals, she can be fitted with a prosthesis.

She and her brother are both brave to have fought the shark and both lucky to be alive.

This thread made me buy a good tourniquet and have it on the boat. Hopefully never will need it.
If the shark takes a bite out of someone’s head, or bites an ear off, don’t put the tourniquet around their neck…

Israeli bandages are good to have as well for big wounds where a tourniquet can't be applied, like the torso.
They’re just called emergency bandages now…

Just about every listing calls them both. In fact a search of emergency bandage just now resulted in Israeli bandage results. The Israeli's created it so I'm fine with giving them credit, and apparently so is everyone else.
