what the cats mouth?ya should work lol ,a lot of good talk on gorilla glue for bonding but im not sure how this or any glue will hold out with the stretching of a heel
 
Hard to imagine any adhesive that would last. Wonder if one of those neoprene ankle supports (worn on the outside obviously) would at least temporarily hold things together - something like Pro-Tec Ankle Sleeve Support
 
There is marine epoxy, but I think any adhesive you would have to sandwich the tear between a couple layers of another material along with the adhesive.
 
That is a propagating tear that will not stop. You have to stop it.

Go to a hardware store and get the smallest grommet set with a punch that you can find. Chuck the punch in your battery drill and heat the punch to very hot, but not red hot. Drill a hole in front of the leading edge of the tear. Once the tear makes it to the hole it has nowhere to go.
