I can't say anything about the M1, but my wife and I dive the Dacor Darwin (which for all intensive purposes is the exactly the same machine). We are both relatively new divers and find these computers extremely user friendly and reliable. Our readouts are always exactly the same (and jive with others much higher priced) and we have had no problems with either. After a year of diving, we are starting to replace a lot of gear with high end stuff, for the time being though - the computers will stay - the Darwin is a great computer at a great price.
