Toying with the idea of going for Halcyon or Scubapro for my manifold on alum double 80's.

Anyone got any preferences between the two ?

I heard that Halcyon had some early teething problems with their manifold..is this true ?

Are the valves easy to turn on the Scubapro manifold when cylinders are full ?

I use Sea Elite manifolds.

I think they are actually made by the same people.

If that link won't work, try
http://www.divers-supply.com and search for manifold.

When I bought from them, they would put Viton o-rings in and rubber knobs on for a small charge.

I have a SP on one set of doubles and a "thermo" on a
second set.

The SP is low profile and a nice setup but the valves are
somewhat "stiff" when turning. Of course, this reduces
the likelyhood of a roll-off but I think I'd prefer ease of
roll-ON :)

The "thermo" is much easier to turn off or on.

Were I to do it again I'd not purchase a SP.
