Stephen Ash:
That's pretty cool.

So whad'ya think John? KC? Cavin' in AZ? Can it be done? HAS it been done?

We've been there, that story is from 2000. There's actually some very interesting caves in AZ, the problem is getting a team, including mostly people who may not be able to do the dives to volunteer their time and HUGE effort to try to make it possible. I've been trying to gain access to a very interesting cave intrance for a few years now, but because it's on reservation land, and a religious site, no luck. The Peppersauce water is the down hill drain for the cave system, that means all trash, silt, & mud settle in that area, and with no high flow to clean it out, you have a REALLY tough dive after you and many helpers have busted their *** to get the required equipment in there. This is a lengthy dry cave that's slick mud, chimneys,
and obsticles, I'd recomend you go there and get an idea of what it takes to set this up.

Well... I would love to be part of a team. I have no delusions of grandeur and I certainly don't expect to run any exploratory line. But I am definitely interested in volunteering time and effort. It would be nice if there was something a beginning caver could do in the water... but if not, I'll hump tanks or whatever.

You know we have a pretty good size group of folks around that might be interested in being part of a project... new cavers like myself, Frankie, Jordan and Kevin... plus seasoned vets like Art and Karen... AND maybe even a few guys here on the board that might be interested. We got some muscle, man. Think about it!

Maybe it's time for you to revisit the possibility of doing something here. You might be surprised at how much support you would get.

We've hiked the caves in the article before, and it would be quite a task to get gear in there... It would be fun though, and I think there would be plenty of support- we'd be up for helping out. I'm betting Rob would like to be a part of this project....

Hell, Karen won't even carry her own tanks, that's Art's job.
