Hi, everybody. My name is Corey. How are things going? I hope all is well with you, these days. I just signed up, on this web site. I hope to hear from you Snorkellers/ Divers soon. I'm waiting to hear from the local dive here in Moncton, about the next scuba course. Last month, I was snorkelling out in Shediac, NB. I really enjoyed it. I hope to go again next summer. I think that next summer, I'll buy one of those cheap$ 15 water proof cameras, and take it me in to the water. I have a Roommate who's got her cerification. She's had it for ten years. I'm hopping to try scuba diving next summer. If I do get certified, I'm thinking of taking up u/w photography. I'm also interested in other things, as well. I skateboard, as well, in the summer. In the winter, I play the occasional game of Hockey, and I snowboard, as well as taking pictures. I guess this all for now. Corey Hansen

Welcome fellow Canuck!
You can to the right place.... those cheapo cameras are OK for snorkelling but when you get your cert I wouldn't use them - they are not rated for the depths you'll be plunging into. You can check out the regional forums for more local info...
You may also want to fill out your profile a little more, just gives others more info when they craft a response...

Play safe...

You've come to the place to find out info about diving. If you like snorkeling, your love SCUBA. It lets you get close and personal. This is a great place to learn also. Just remember, start off slow, don't go crazy with buying things, at least until you know that you like it. Good Luck and enjoy the board.

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

Enjoy the process of getting certified.

Don't forget to fill out your profile and dive info, so that we can add context to your future posts. Also, once we know where you are geographically, you may find that you'll have a whole bunch of new dive buddies to choose from locally when you get your cert.

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.
