I'm 16 years old and this summer I plan to get OW certertification. My career path is to be a marine biologist, or somewhere along those lines. I'm not particulary sure about the "Title" I will possess, but more or less the type of work I wish to perform. I would like to study the habits of different marine animals using field and labratory work. I love science in every aspect, and I am currently taking AP Biology and Marine Biology. My freshman and sophmore year I took "Earth, Space, and Science Honors", Biology Honors, and Chemistry Honors. My senior year I plan to take Anatomy and Zoology.

Unfortunately, I know very little of the specifics of scuba diving, but I am eager to learn and I have been reading different articles and forums to gain as much knowledge as possible.

I'm not really sure what else to say, but if you want to know anything else, aside from personal information which I am comfortable giving away as of right now, just ask! :D:D

Hi PepsiTwist and Welcome to :sblogo:

Welcome Aboard. Be sure to keep us updated when you training starts and let everyone know how you're doing.

Thanks everyone! I'm so excited, I'm so addicted to this forum lately, I've been lurking for a while...

Hi PepsiTwist,

Like you, I have just joined. Interesting reading your intro ... my 2 lads (10 and 13) have also decided they want to go into marine biology, in fact they've been set on this track for 3 years now. They completed their OW course this year in Sharm as a continued interest into the field.

Hey Pepsi- I really hope you find a way to make diving a part of your life if possible. When i was 16 I wanted to learn but just never did it. I'm so glad now that I'm certified. Go out and learn!
Welcome, by the way.

If you haven't yet, click Forums above and start going thru the list - looking for those of interest to you, especially your local dive club. Always good to try a Search before starting a new thread, tho :search: - click here for Search help, and be careful about posting Threads & Replies before reading the Sticky threads at the tops of most forums. PM me if I can help you around here..
