Hints, tips and tricks for the new layout

As the thread title reads, I think a thread for hints,tips and tricks that we have all found while tinkering may be useful to some and perhaps cut down on some of the confusion.

I will start, I found this link this morning while bashing around trying to find all the threads I have participated in, not just the ones with new replies.

To post a link and have it appear as clickable text:

Copy & paste the URL and you get the URL:

On Drudge, that's a hot link headline text. Copy & paste that & that's what you get:

To write this yourself when all you have is the URL you use URL tags;

To post a youtube video, if you just paste the URL here it turns that into a video:

I don't see anything in "preferences" to change the posts per page. Anybody know?

Doesn't look like that option is available- it's a board-wide setting.

Annoying, but on the good side now when someone says its on the second page it really is- no longer dependent on the user setting.

There are boxes you can uncheck in "preferences" if you don't want your activity tracked, but unchecking them has no effect.

Jim, I use Firefox on my Android.

Bring up the SB site. Login. On the new post window, select Upload a File. You will get a "Browse" screen to find the file. Then select Documents, then Gallery, then select the photo you want. Once selected you will be brought back to the input screen on SB. Select full image. Post Reply.
