How do you install surface marker in Halcyon Eclipse?

I've seen several surface marker (balloon) setups for the Halcyon Eclipse and can't seem to decide whether it is DIR or not. Am just curious where most of you install the balloon?

If it's a SMB I keep it pre-rigged and stored in a bellows pocket on my drysuit. If it's a lift bag, I keep it rigged and stored in the MC pack on the back plate because the lift bag is larger.

I don't know if it's DIR, but I created two bungie loops (appx. 3") and ran them thru the bottom two holes on my BP. Then I put the SMB thru the two loops.
