Is there a way to find ONLY the threads I have STARTED?

And/or is there a way to find ONLY the threads in which I have POSTED (which would naturally include all the ones I've started!)

I've only found one way to do that: by doing an advanced search and searching for threads from AnemoneJane. It's effective, but it takes several mouse-clicks and pulldown menus, as well as typing in my username. Call me lazy.

I've been on other forums where there is a link titled "my posts" that directly takes me to a page containing ONLY those threads in which I have made a post (whether as the thread-starter or simply a thread-contributor)

If you view your account profile at http://www.scubaboard.com/member.php?userid=29652 you will see two very nice links "Find all posts by AnemoneJane" and "Find all threads started by AnemoneJane". These links run search queries on, well, one exactly what you are looking for, one to find all of your posts and one to find all of your threads.

I've had this same question. And I'm not sure of your answer. If I click on the link you provided, sure enough, I can find a link to all of AnemoneJane's posts. But if I go to 'User CP' on myself, these options don't exist.

You can also do the search yourself. Go into the advanced search; put your name in the 'username' part, and below that section; select "Find Threads started by user" rather than "Find Posts by user".

That way you can use the search string to narrow it down if you are searching for something specifically that you started [or other things like limiting the search by date range or whatever].

I just clicked on my own name on the list of threads in the forum and was given the option of seeing all the threads I have started or seeing all the posts I have made. Both work.

To see all of the posts, I can also go to any post of mine and click on my name, and then select "Find more posts by...".

3dent, Your profile page is located at http://www.scubaboard.com/member.php?userid=26457 (click your username on any post).

Well, to click on my user name in one of my posts, I have to find one of my posts, right? Doesn't that kind of bring us full circle?

I appreciate you supplying the link, but to use it in the future, I have to find it, and it's going to get buried in about 2 hours. I'm saavy enough to copy-paste it into another document, but that's also pretty indirect. It should be easier.

The original thread-starter was asking about a more direct method, like we have both seen on other boards. It would be very nice to click on the 'User CP' link at the top of the board and have the option of seeing all the posts I've started or contributed to, but maybe that's too much to ask for.

Maybe the 'view all subscribed threads' option is the answer. Can you tell me what threads I get automatically subscribed to, and how to unsubscribe?

Um, please re-read the original post. Thanks.

Try these.

I am pretty sure you can save these in your favorites function.

Ahh... duh.

Personally I just use the search method, since I'm usually looking for something in particular, and with all the posts I've got, a list just ain't gonna help me.

When I want to get to my profile, I usually go to my "User CP", and click on 'view all subscribed threads'. Look for one that doesn't have a lot of posts in it, click on it, find my username and go from there

Another option would be to bookmark the link that TA gave you.

But it sounds like what would be best is a link somewhere to view your own profile. Maybe TA'll add that for you.
