Hi,

I have a plastic Scubapro S600 2nd stage air barrel which I am replacing with a new barrel, however I need to remove the lever from the barrel. Usually I don't touch them (the lever), as I don't need to replace the barrel, but this time, due to cracking, it is being replaced.

Any tips from the experts here how to successfully remove the lever without distorting it? I was thinking maybe a piece of dowel gradually rounded on the end and pushed into the barrel, so that it gently persuaded the 'feet' to widen would help with its removal.

If anyone has any tips, that would certainly help me.

Thanks

grf88 is correct. After removing the spring and poppet remove the lever one leg at a time.
