Hi all! I'm getting certified later this month so I'll probably have a lot of questions about what personal gear I should get. I already have fins, mask, snorkel, and wetsuit, but haven't started buying a regulator, BC, weight system, or other pieces of equipment. Hopefully I'll gain some valuable insight from here.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to SB!!
:happywave Put us in your computer's favorites and check in often. This is a great place to learn, compare, argue :argue:

There are lots of good brands, and if you're being trained by an Instructor out of a local dive shop (LDS), they'll make you an offer on a package that will probably be good for a beginner. When you learn the make and model they're suggestiing, you can get some opinions from those forums here on SB.

A couple of items that will not be in the package that I'd like to suggest are a Storm Whistle and a Safety Sausage. $25 well spent.
