I just don't log dives
I'm looking for what I thought was a reasonably simple thing, but can't seem to find one, so I'm looking for recommendations:

I want a blunt-tip, medium-sized knife with one edge, and a metal butt for banging on stuff (my tank, zebra mussels, etc.) and a really secure sheath that won't release until I want it to.

So far, I've seen titanium (too expensive and hard to sharpen), ceramic (too brittle) and a whole ton of double edge knives. Unfortunatly, the plastic surgeon who sewed my hand back together after a cooking accident won't let me have double edge knives anymore. :D

I've also seen lots of single edge knives, but they're all either pointed or have a plastic handle with no metal butt.

Anybody have any suggestions?

I use a TUSA Imprex, never had any concerns about it falling out, and it is available with a blunt tip.

Nice knife, but it looks like a double-edge.

Looks like the Akona is double edge also.

Just about everything I've seen has a serrated edge on the top it seems.

I just about gave myself the name "One-Handed-Terry" with a double-edge serrated knife. I won't be doing it again . . .

Perfect, exactly what you're looking for. Essentially a sawed-off steak knife with a blunt tip so that it won't poke your exposure suit. VERY secure sheath. Sharp knife, solid end if you want to bang it on something.

i have a uk remora bc knife no metal butt, but the blade is easy to sharpen and the sheath is secure but easy to operate. and the plastic handle is a good banger anyway
