Oh come on wreckwriter,
The weighting thing isn't anything we haven't seen before. Sure she was a few pounds overweighed beyond the norm for somebody of her build, but still not unimaginable! Also, my 10% your body weight reply, without any question or consideration of her exposure protection, happens every day in our respective dive shops and resorts. It takes too long to explain how to weight oneself properly. Oh boy, and lets not even talk about balance!

Thanks to everyone who participated!! We were losing faith in our diving compadres after some recent local dives and some of the nonsense being taught, we thought we'd try to draw some of these people out, but instead of BS, we got some good, sound advice! I feel better now! Thanks!! I look forward to more of the same!!:)

ExtremeTech once bubbled...

You're right, it would have passed without notice in many places. For whatever reason though it just sorta jumped out at me and that was when I realized the whole thing was a troll.

I give credit where due though, it a good troll, could have been a great one. I came very close to biting on the original post with the sort of reply you were looking for!

Diettechie once bubbled...
I'm not so sure...judging from past threads....I think he could've!!:)
You moved too fast. Both your puppets logged in on the same day and their first post is to the Tech forum blowing heavy smoke with Diettechie welcoming Extremetech and acting as a spokesperson for ScubaBoard :D

BTW... next time you try this don't use smilies right away... it takes new folks to the board a while to figure all that stuff out so when you include them in your opening posts it sounds the alarm.

Other than that... fairly nice concept and it could have worked if you hadn't moved so fast and overreached.

I especially liked the making your troll a "DSAT" diver part, real nice touch! I heard of them but have never actually seen or spoken to one. It had me intrigued at first.

Tom

Yeah, the PADI Tec/Rec DSAT cert should have been a warning. I know its in the final stages of development, but I wasn't aware that it was being offered yet. I haven't gotten the update yet and couldn't find it on Padi.com when I searched.

Anyone know whether it is, in fact, available to the public yet.

Now I have to throw away all
my notes!:upset:
