I own a PEN E-LP1 and PT-EPL01 Housing. I have yet to use it. Just arrived.

This will be my first strobe purchase. I'm set on S&S for its simplicity.

I prefer 1 strobe. I want to minimize equip as most of my diving is travel not local. So 1 YS-D1 is best

However, I like the idea of lower cost now with 1 YS-01 then get another later if I decide 1 YS-01 is not enough.

Is there a big difference in performance in YSD1 compared to YS01 for the extra $250? In the long run trying to figure out if the performance of 2 YS-01's outweighs 1 YS-D1 and having less to pack when I travel? Or Maybe just 1 YS-01 is enough for me.

Backscatter Sea & Sea YS-01 Strobe & Flex arm is $625
Backscatter Sea & Sea YS-01 Strobe & Flex arm is $895

I want as much auto as possible. I'm not serious photographer. Simple is best for me. I want to just point and shoot as much as possible then move on to the next cool thing. Just want to show family and friends who get a kick out of my diving photo's.

Thanks,

Jeff
