I'm ready!! I think my poor hubby is tired of listening to my attempts at Spanish!

Funny, my wife was a spanish teacher so its a double whammy. She expects spanish to sound like high Castillian. She just looks at me and says, "Gringo!" Years ago I visited her in Spain when she was doing a semester abroad. I needed an ashtray in a restaurant. We practiced at the table for like 5 minutes. I went up and asked. After several tries, the lady came to the table and spoke with my wife. She told her she couldn't figure out why I came up and kept saying "without salt, please" in Spanish as we already had the food.
I think it is just I look too "gringo" and no one expects to understand me......

Oh, yea, comic relief, that's me. Same trip, all I had to say was 'fortuna duro' to get a hard pack of spanish smokes. Seriously, could I screw that up? She stepped up and said the same thing I did, I swear. I really think I have a big sign on me that says "Big gringo, Don't listen. He obviously can't speak the language."

We'll be overlapping a few days. I believe we met you (and your son, maybe?) a few years ago. IIRC, you were staying at the Barracuda or some other place closer to town and diving with Blue Angel.

That was us. My trips are usually set up at the last minute and Caribe Blu/Blue Angel has sometimes been fully booked. My son and I stayed at the Barracuda and dove with Blue Angel on that trip. This past January my wife and I stayed at Villablanca and dove with Scuba Mau. I just booked this trip with Jeanie at Blue Angel this morning. We will see you down there. Don't deplete the Margarita supply before we arrive.
When we met you were down with a group of people, correct?

I'll be there from May 8-15 with a group of friends doing my photo workshop. This is about my 10th stay at Scuba Club Cozumel. Hopefully I'll have time to do some dives with Freddy at Mestizo Divers too. Can't wait to see that beautiful blue water!

This is my first post and announcing my first cozumel trip in May 7-12 in blue angel. It's a long long trip since i'm coming all the way from asia
