Hey DiverKat! How was your trip? I bet it is hard to come back to reality. Hope you had a great time, I look forward to reading your post or seeing some pics!

Trip was GREAT!! Travel home wasn't and reality kicked in when I found my home PC has croaked. Had to steal the DH's work laptop to post ... so no picture or trip report just yet! Hope to get the PC fixed soon!!!

The reality is that the gulf is screwed. More trips to Cozumel will have to be planned. Very sad.:depressed:

the current flow of oil if roughly equal to the daily natural seep of tarballs, etc into the gulf as a whole. so from may - august (or whenever the relief well is finished) the oil seapage rate will have doubled. at least its not an order of magnitude more. the issue is the concentration of the oil, and how funky subsurface currents could funnel the stream into more sensative regions. i'm not worrying about any of the reefs.

I Take it from these remarks that the diving in June in Cozumel is good. I need to bring a partially paraplegic diver to dive in Mexico. We have dived with him at Red Sea and Thailand and he was great with all the assistance that was given. I'm not sure whether or not taking him to he cenotes would be a good idea. Can anyone recommend a set up that I can ask for a quote for 2011?
