Not sure if this is the right place for this ... but my dive buddy lost his GoPro just south of Jupiter about a month or so ago. We were south of the inlet in about 80' of water. I believe it's a GoPro9 and it's attached to a headband.

@JoanneR Is this possibly the camera you found? The location descriptions seem to possibly match.

Does it have a name, phone number or any identifying information on it?

Short story: I lost a nice dive light back in July and a stranger on facebook messaged me that they found it 2 months later. I also lost a pole spear back in December and I got a call from a local dive shop that they found it this past Saturday. Both things had a label with my name on them. This area gets dove enough that someone will likely find it - it's more a matter of whether they will be able to figure out who it belongs to.

I bought a set of these several years ago to label my gear. They've more than paid for themselves in found gear.

@Divin'Papaw @CosbySweater @JoanneR

It was our second dive on the morning of January 22nd, on board Diveocean w/ Scubaworks.

There were no labels or identifiable markings, according to my buddy. It was on a headstrap and apparently it had glass screen protectors as well.

I actually have video of him losing the camera, as I had my own GoPro on a shoulder strap, to add insult to injury. We just didn't see it in real time.

Ouch! Hindsight is 20/20 but it’s a best practice to put a photo with your personal info on the memory card. ID stickers are also very helpful. I know that doesn’t help now but it may prevent others from a similar fate.

Hope it turns up!!

A name is not very useful. What did you use, email address and/or cell phone?
